Next steps for 'Digital Scotland' - infrastructure, connectivity and opportunities for growth

Tuesday, 31st October 2017

Central Edinburgh

THIS EVENT IS CPD CERTIFIED

With the Scottish Government having released its new Digital Strategy, and with its Mobile Action Plan expected to be released shortly, this seminar will provide a timely opportunity for delegates to discuss the next steps for ‘Digital Scotland’.

Planned sessions focus on progress so far and what more can be done to support businesses and individuals to realise the full potential of improved digital infrastructure, connectivity and availability - looking at developments in fibre, mobile and satellite technologies, as well as issues around ensuring that Scotland's citizens have suitable skills to take advantage of ever-evolving technology.

Delegates will also discuss how Scotland's digital capabilities, both present and future, may be affected by the United Kingdom's exit from the European Union.

The conference will bring together policymakers in the Scottish Government and Parliament with representatives from the telecommunications industry and wider business interests, service providers, local authorities and community groups and other stakeholders.
