This timely seminar brought key stakeholders together with policymakers to discuss the policy priorities needed to prepare for the challenges and opportunities presented to Scotland’s economy by Brexit.
Delegates discussed key issues facing Scotland’s economy post-Brexit in terms of competitiveness, investment and the labour market, and the likely impact of UK government proposals on transitional customs and trade arrangements, particularly on sectors such as agriculture, fisheries and food and drink.
Further sessions looked at policy priorities for supporting Scottish companies to build international links post-Brexit, including assistance related to logistics, developing joint enterprises and scaling up manufacturing.
