Key issues for health and social care integration: commissioning, workforce and partnership development

March 2017

Price: £95 PLUS VAT
Format: DOWNLOADABLE PDF

This seminar assessed the impact of the integration of health and social care on service delivery and considered the next steps for overcoming challenges arising from the integration process.
It took place following publication of the Scottish Government’s Health and Social Care Delivery Plan and coincided with the development of new National Health and Social Care Standards, with final standards due to be published shortly.
Discussion on the day considered the pace of the integration process and progress being made in relation to inequalities, changing demographics and partnership working, taking into consideration the importance of resource allocation and local population needs.

Further sessions assessed priorities for the workforce - including educational opportunities and potential benefits of alternative business models for both employees and service delivery - as well as the new National Health and Social Care Standards and priorities for strategic commissioning.
